I just get frustrated at the news - the gravity, time and space afforded to this event would not be given to a similar event happening elsewhere. As for the news reporting tragedies, I merely want the news, good, bad, or indifferent. It's the preoccupation with some stories and the indifference towards others that frustrates me.

Aaron... what?Davidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13823423964264196374noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-972310757330931391.post-67998506717224193932009-01-16T15:16:00.000+00:002009-01-16T15:16:00.000+00:00THE NEW IS NOT ALWAYS SAD AND DEPRESSING.CLICK HER...THE NEW IS NOT ALWAYS SAD AND DEPRESSING.

CLICK HERE FOR PROOFAaronhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10282976731213883878noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-972310757330931391.post-21106413422180351392009-01-16T15:13:00.000+00:002009-01-16T15:13:00.000+00:00This comment has been removed by the author.Aaronhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10282976731213883878noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-972310757330931391.post-26781878814905503172009-01-16T12:39:00.000+00:002009-01-16T12:39:00.000+00:00I think you're missing the point somewhat. An airbus crashing is an even rarer event, and will definately make the news. The fact that no-one was hurt was reported for the simple fact that no one was indeed hurt.

Why must the news just report tradgedies? We hear about the troubles in Gaza, Palestine and the Middle East on a daily basis; and yes people there are dying 'coz there are wars going on.

At the same time, rare and unfortunate events like an airbus crashing into the Hudson River are also reported. It's not devaluing the lives of those dying in wars in far off countries - it's simply reporting an extremely unsual event.Knoxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03969373904878952681noreply@blogger.com
